Summary: Human beings respond to sounds in several different ways. One of the interesting phenomena involving how we hear depends upon whether sounds are initially identified as voices/speech. For example, unusual effects may result if sounds containing common speech frequencies and similar timing. Repetition of speech-like sounds can also create novel experiences.
